&stochy_nam namelist variables lon_s, lat_s, ntrunc

What are the lon_s, lat_s, ntrunc variables in the &stochy_nam namelist?  Should these variables be at the same resolution as your input gaussian grid, your output gaussian grid, or are they independent of this?
